Reliable Performance for Pasteurization, Blending, and Beyond

Exergy heat exchangers can provide efficient temperature control in medium to low flow applications for processes such as pasteurization, brewing, fermentation, oil extraction and condensation.  The compact size, with high heat transfer efficiency utilizes less valuable floor space and reduces installation costs.  Our heat exchangers are manufactured with high-quality materials ranging from 316L stainless steel to alloys such as Hastelloy and Inconel.  This range of materials ensures a correct material selection, especially in the case of high acid products and products containing salt.

The robust design with high temperature and pressure ratings makes Exergy Heat Exchangers an excellent choice for a variety of processes.  This durability allows you to achieve a long and accurate production life of your equipment.

    Applications

    • Product Heating and cooling – Precise temperature control during production even with low flowrates or heat loads.
    • CO2 capture in brewing – cooling CO2 produced during fermentation and brewing utilizing sub-zero ethanol for cooling media.  The CO2 is then purified and stored for later use making the brewery operation more sustainable.
    • Extraction processes for products such as cannabis, hemp, flavors and fragrances.  Can accommodate many different products with or without phase changes.
    • Vapor condensing – Aid in condensing and cooling steam and other vapors for use in production processes
    • Trim Cooling – Precise temperature control for small temperature changes required for trim cooling processes.

    Features

    • Compact and Efficient Designs – Requires less manufacturing floorspace and lowers installation costs.  These space saving solutions seamlessly integrate into existing and skidded systems
    • High Performance Materials – Wide selection of materials including stainless steel, Hastelloy, Inconel and CVD coated units to  assure proper material is used for a given product or process, reducing the effects of corrosion and fouling to extended the service life of the equipment.
    • Cleanliness and Sterility – Straight tubes with SF1(15Ra) and SF4 (20 Ra) surface roughness limits the amount of fouling keeping tubes cleaner and reduces the chance of biofilm formation which can extend runtimes.  CIP and SIP can be used to meet cGMP requirements.
    • Extreme conditions – High temperature and pressure ratings make these units an efficient and reliable choice for these conditions.  The robust design and engineering expertise assures a proper equipment selection. Examples include aseptic processes, carbonation and sub-zero systems.
    • Customizable solutions – Solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of food and beverage applications.

    Product Strengths

    • Improved Energy Efficiency -Lowers utility costs by reusing thermal energy and achieving precise required temperatures.
    • Enhanced Process Control -Provide precise temperature regulation for sensitive or variable processes and products.
    • Material and Operational Flexibility -Custom materials and configurations adapt to different fluids, pressures, and environments to meet the needs of the variable food industry.
    • Supports Sustainability Goals -Enables closed-loop cooling systems and heat recovery reducing environmental impact through water recycling, energy recovery, and lower emissions.
    • Improved Safety – Robust heat exchanger design reduces the risk of hazardous leaks.
